The look
A formal dark suit — navy, charcoal, black or deep green — with a classic tie. Elegant and sharp; if in doubt, go darker.

The black tuxedo with bow tie belongs to the groom alone — no tuxedos, no bow ties, please. And the dark suit with a burgundy tie is the groomsmen's matching detail (both looks pictured above). Any other classic tie is perfect.
Fabrics
Light, breathable fabrics are your friend — the ceremony and dinner are outdoors on a warm September evening. A half-lined or unlined jacket will thank you.
